FAQ's

How much money can I make hosting the Liner and Lecture Series?

Here’s  the math:  300 Tea Plant Liners with shipping  =$702

You pre-sell liners for  $5.67 to your clients. (Our retail plants normally sell for $12 each so you can show your customers what savings they will have)
$5.67 X 300 =$1702 - $702 = $1000 net profit

Sell 123 plants to breakeven. Average sale is 8 plants, so that’s only 15 customers!

What if I can’t sell all the plants?

That’s one of the beauties of having such an unique item such as a tea plants for sale, they just  get more valuable the longer you own them.  Put your liners into 4 inch containers and within a few weeks you have a plant that we retail for $12 each! We sell to other companies that sell the same plant for $25!  Once your 4 inch potted tea plants root out you can place them into 1 gal, or 3 gal size containers or bigger and soon you have a collection of specimens worth hundreds of dollars.  You can also use them in your landscape and patio areas to add an incredible living ambience to your customer’s tea experience.

Are Tea Plants indoor plants?

No, not generally. They are a shrub related to the Camellia family and meant for outdoor planting.  You can pot them and bring them indoors for short periods of time in Winter or greenhouse them in partial shade.

OK, I made my deposit, how do we pre-sell plants?

Its easy.  Once you make your deposit we will send you our flyer via email to display on your counter or window (or make your own) telling your customers about this special opportunity to obtain tea plants at discount prices and begin growing therir own tea. Tea plants pretty much sell themselves.  Just have your waiters and counter staff draw attention to the flyer and the opportunity to get tea plants at half the price off retail plus a free lecture on how to grow them.  We recommend selling a minimum of 4 plants per order (and 8 plants is even better whichb is the minimum number of plants one would need if someone wants to grow for themselves a decent amount of tea).

Do I need a Tea or Coffeehouse to host the Liners and Lecture Series?

No, whereas Teahouses are our main focus, just about any group of people, be it a garden club, co-op, library, or community center can participate.  The guidelines are the same.  Fill out the contact form, make your deposit for 300 liners and you are ready to go.
